Security

Our customers in Wind Power require guarantees of both safety and security. We provide “Key Issue” Custom Isolation Boxes under a key-restricted profile so that only authorised signatories can request duplicates. All control locks for these boxes, safes, and cabinets are assembled by Lockout Tagout Safety Ltd, and all records are kept securely offline to protect from malicious intent e.g. Cyber-attacks / Terrorism. This level of control keeps your investments secure and guarantees that untrusted requests for duplicate keys are unsuccessful. We provide this service to Orsted, the National Grid, the MOD and other high-security facilities of national interest.

 

Access Control & Super Authorised Persons

Wind Farms both onshore and offshore require high levels of access control. We have helped major Wind Energy providers such as Orsted; EDF deploy access control systems with our patent protected keyed alike and master suited padlocks and locks. We leverage our expertise to help you build a bespoke hierarchy of authorised persons and configure a unique key access system to match, clearly identifying all your assets that need isolating with extreme condition rated ID lock markings.

 

Demarcation

During isolations, clear communication to affected workers is vital. There have been many cases of injuries and fatalities due to lack of communication procedure. We have provided Wind Farm providers such as Siemens and Blauwwind with a complete range of demarcation equipment with customisable graphics to ensure that isolated equipment, controls and areas are thoroughly and clearly identifiable.

 

HV Testing

Turbine energy generation carries inherent and significant electrical risk, and the safety of Super Authorised Persons (SAPs) working directly with high-voltage transmission equipment is vital. We provide the equipment needed to detect and insulate across a complete range of voltages. With our help, Wind Farm providers such as National Grid and ensure their SAPs are fitted with the best protection and rescue equipment.
